About the TPD camps
We at TPD know each player has the capability to reach their highest potential, but they need proper guidance; we have many, many players TRUE-ly develop by fostering a player’s love for the beautiful game while, at the same time, teaching them the skills they need to be successful at their respective level. This methodology has helped countless players of all levels flourish on and off the field. We strive to empower players so they can take control of their development outside of our sessions/in their spare time. In doing so, players will not only improve their technical skills, but they will develop a growth mindset (AKA – a belief and confidence to overcome obstacles and learn new skills/create new habits. )

At this camp, we focus on developing players holistically, equipping them with everything they need to become complete athletes. While we dedicate a significant portion of our time to shooting and striking the ball, we also emphasize essential skills that many players at this age—and even at higher levels—often overlook.
Becoming a complete player requires a well-rounded approach, and we’ve spent years studying what it takes. Now, we’re bringing all of that knowledge into the all-around skills camps to ensure players receive the most comprehensive training possible. We’ve had great success with these camps in the past and are excited to run another, constantly refining and improving the experience each year.
As always, we will not let any time go to waste; we will even use the snack/rest/lunch times to work on the human/mental development. Topics we love to address includes professional habits that lead to success, professional guest speakers, the mental side of taking shots/risks, what it means to be a good teammate, tools such as visualization/meditation, and so much more.
In addition, we will do our best to get each player from the camp an analysis of their power-shot and/or weak-foot/speed-shooting technique by Coach Kyle (who is one of the most reknown trainers anywhere when it comes to analyzing how a player strikes the ball.) We always try to send these analysis sessions to parents later so they have something to work on.
We will provide options for players to purchase a lunch (we will pick up) or they are welcome to bring their own. We will also purchase some healthy snacks for the campers, but, once again, they are welcome to bring their own as well. You can rest assured they will be well taken care-of and well-fed.
As these camps are in our state-of-the-art facility with so many amazing tools but less space than outdoor, we will limit the number of players that can attend due to the number of coaches we have with minnimum being 8 and maximum being 16 so don’t hesitate to register. We usually try to have two experienced professional True coaches in addition to some of our top proteges to keep the ratio at or around 1 True ambassador for every 4-5 players.

This winter, we are thrilled to bring a truly special opportunity to our players: an intensive, one-day experience led by Chicago Fire star and U.S. Men’s National Team winger Chris Mueller.
Chris is entering a big comeback year in MLS after overcoming significant health challenges this past season. Despite an extremely demanding preseason schedule, he made time to meet with us and partner on this camp because of his genuine connection to True Player Development and his desire to impact the next generation.
For those who may not know Chris’s full story, he has trained with TPD during the past three off-seasons and brings elite experience from every level of the game:
— U.S. National Team, where he scored two goals on his debut
— MLS, with years of consistent production and standout performances
— Europe, adding another layer of professionalism and perspective to his journey
But what makes this camp different isn’t just his résumé—it’s his message.
Chris grew up right here in the northwest suburbs, playing for the same local clubs many of our players come from. He wasn’t a top recruit. He didn’t dominate his freshman year in college. His breakthrough came when he completely changed how he approached his development—physically, mentally, and personally. That mindset shift is what transformed him from an overlooked player into a long-term professional.
The Chris Mueller Manifestation Camp is built around sharing exactly how he did it.
Players will spend meaningful time with Chris both on the field—where he will run high-level technical and positional sessions—and off the field, where he will lead mental-performance and manifestation workshops focused on discipline, identity, confidence, visualization, and the daily habits that create sustainable success.
This camp will be more intimate than our other holiday camps, with a strictly limited roster to ensure every player gets real interaction and real mentorship. It’s an incredible Christmas gift for any athlete serious about their growth, and we’ll even provide a bonus stocking stuffer for families who enroll.
Between Chris Mueller’s insight and our full TPD staff, this is one of the most valuable developmental experiences we’ve ever offered—an opportunity players simply won’t find anywhere else.

This camp will center on our specialty—refining the art of shooting and mastering the precision of long passes. Our goal is to maximize the number of meticulously examined shots and strikes while maintaining a safe environment that minimizes the risk of overexertion.
In light of this commitment, we have introduced a midweek respite on Wednesday, allowing players to recover after the initial two days and return invigorated to finish strong—pun intended. This adjustment, a departure from our previous camps, is born from experience and designed with the players’ well-being in mind. Though it may present additional logistical challenges, we are confident that this approach will yield better outcomes for our athletes.
The idea here to provide a more intimate experience where our coaches can truly connect with the players and learn how to best motivate/train them. These connections are vital to TRUE player development. When we are not training, we will spend time talking about the mental side of the game, how to set goals/how and how to be better human.
